It's been a long time since I went to a car meet here in SoCal. Many of you guys already know I've been busy with work during these past few months, so my activity in the car scene has been diminishing. But as mentioned in my previous articles, Night Import is only a hobby, not a career, so don't be expecting too much this year because this actual blog will not be updated as it used to be.....actually...don't believe me because I tend to be more active when I say depressing things :)
So last week, I was busy having too much fun starting from Thursday to Saturday. When I mean "fun", I'm talking about going out at night time..and.. well.. I don't want to get too specific. I was way too tired on Sunday and decided to stay at home, but I got a call from JP, owner of the Cressida from BP VIP, asking if I wanted to come out to a meet at City of Industry. It was a car meet called Puente Hills Dealer Showcase hosted by Prestige Marketing. If you've been updated with my blog since last year, you should know Prestige has been hosting several meets at dealerships in City of Inudstry because of not worrying about the usual problems many face when hosting a meet. So far, I've been to almost every meet they've hosted except one or two. I forgot why I missed the others, but either way, when I told myself I would rest, I said to myself, "fuk it" and decided to head out after dropping off my brother.

There are many reasons why I enjoy living in California and to mention one, it's the gorgeous weather compared to other states. That's probably why many people envy people who live in CA and also because of the continuous car events and meets happening almost every week! Yesterday was one of those days with several meets going on and from the few, I decided to drop by SEIBON's Toy Drive Meet. I'm sure you heard of this company, but if you haven't, SEIBON specializes in Carbon Fiber parts for almost every make and model in the market today. They are known worldwide, even in Japan, which is why you probably heard of Volk TE37 Seibon Edition. With their continuous success in the aftermarket industry today, the company had a meet and greet opened for everyone. What made it even more interesting was Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker's scheduled attendance! Unfortunately, I left right when he arrived, so that sort of ruined my day, but the photos I took of exotics from Luxury 4 Play and Heavy Hitters made it up. O yea..and I also forgot to take a toy I bought to donate....This clumsiness is getting worse!

Welcome back to Night Import! Hope you guys are visiting the blog often to catch up with my articles, because things are about to get serious! Just playing~ As long as I can entertain you guys while at work, home, in the bathroom, with your girlfriend, ... you get the point v(^-^)v
My last partly coverage on Hot Import Nights will be a good one because the photos I'm about to share with you guys came out pretty decent considering the short amount of time I had to cover the whole area when the lights were on during the award ceremony. By the way, congratulations to all the winners! It's always unpredictable to know who will win which category because judges aren't the same for every car show event. Each judge has a different perspective when it comes to certain makes & models, so hope no one was frustrated with the judging and stuff. It's all about having fun and enjoying the time spent with friends and family right? Let's get on with the cars and see what was up at different areas of the huge ass showcase lot. The cover photo for Part 2 is the well-known VIP team in SoCal, BP VIP. It's been a while since I got to know a few members in this team, and I was surprised to see some of their rides with a new look! Click on "Read More" at the bottom right to see their rides.

First of all, congratulations to Tony and all the staffs from It's JDM yO! on a successful meet last Saturday and making it through that 1 year of activeness, keeping all the automotive enthusiasts entertained with various content. Did that sound too formal? ... blah~ Tony! Congratz yO!!!!!!!
I don't even remember when I first saw Tony, but for sure he was wearing an 'It's JDM yO!' printed t-shirt. You guys have probably seen the t-shirt as well because the huge letters are printed all around the shirt and missing it means it's time for you to take an eye examination.
To be honest, I'm not a really close friend of Tony's. When we do see each other, it's just a "wsup yO!", "how've you been?", "Keep it up!" sort of relationship, but from the first day of seeing this guy till today, he's been working continuously with his site. It's not only automotive events he covers, but also models! Yeap, you heard me right, MODELS! Tony knows the hottest Import models and seeing a few of them at It's JDM yO!'s booth is not a surprise anymore.

The title of the meet might sound as if Tony started his interest in cars last year, but he's been consistently building up relationships with tons of people even before he launched It's JDM yO!. That's why if you are a fan of their site on facebook, you probably saw Super Street, Canibeat, Import Tuner, and various well-known blogs/magazines promoting this meet.

Let's just say It's JDM yO!'s meet was one of my best attended meets of this year!

Perhaps this might be over exaggerating, but S2000s represent the Honda scene with its sporty look and compactness. The discontinuation of this model became a disappointment in the automotive community and seeing one just triggered the greediness of almost every sports car fans to buy one. Slick body design, simple yet unique interior, and highly respectable performance stats of an s2k is the reason why the car has its fame.
We've seen numerous S2000s featured on blogs, sites, and magazines, some highly modified ones to just simply clean, but today, you'll be seeing one that's like no other; updated body design, simple but quality equipped interior and fully tuned and built stock motor. Still don't understand? Let's just start it off with an introduction; Charles's custom built widebody s2k.

One of the reasons why I like going to meets is because of talking and meeting new people in the automotive scene. This meet was hosted by the same people (Prestige Marketing) who created the Mitsubishi meet a few weeks ago. Compared to the last meet, the turnout was much better; more people, cars, and great food.
Even known models, Nikita Esco and Natalia Marie, came to support the meet.

If you live in SoCal, you'll definitely be expecting a meet or event near your area, which is the best part of living in California because the automotive scene is always active!
I got informed about this meet from the Redline Showcase staffs. The show was suppose to happen last week, but because of unexpected weathers in California, the event was postponed to next week, which was today.
We, Night-Import, did invite people through facebook, but b/c of the short notice, the turnout wasn't so great; however, there was free food and prizes being raffled out.
