It's been awhile since we did a 'Random Spotlight' and this Civic EF Sedan I spotted at the Fancy Fed Car Show was well worth its own.

Random Spotlight: EK Melting the Snow

There's been couple of features going on around the net with some nicely fitted EK's, but this one doesn't fall behind and might be one of your favorites from now on.
Jani Mikkonen owns and drives this EK daily in Finland, Europe, and unlike others who get depressed and store their rides in the garage during Winter, Jani is the opposite; it's actually becomes an enjoyment.

Wheel Appreciation: BBS RS

It's always a pleasure to feature cars and write up coverages, but why not do something different? I've personally put some thought into this and today, want to officially start a 'Wheel Appreciation' post.
Today, we'll be focusing on the wheel brand and model BBS RS.
Yes, a favorite to many Euro car owners, but here are some non-Euro cars on RS's.
Hope this post can help those who are planning to get BBS RS's and if you do, share it with us!

What more else to say when a car is stanced, clean, and simple?
03 TDI belongs to Will Fisher and he owns/directs a site called BAGRIDERS.COM
Our new photographer, Jim Davis, had an opportunity to shoot this car and was amazed on the cleanliness. No crazy stickers, shiny, wheels are fully polished...I would stop this car on the highway just to do a coverage.
Great job to Jim for these awesome photos and finding Will's Jetta.

Butterscotch BBS on Integra

When I thought the Valley was going to be a lot cooler than Las Vegas..
It was nearly 110 degrees and I was sweating like crazy.
So what's the best way to cool off? Find a sick stanced car and doing a coverage :)

I came across this Integra in the WFC forums and it really caught my attention.
Yes, it is green and I've been doing coverages on green cars for some reason, but they all look sick.
Here is another green car in that category and this time, some rare finished BBS RS's.
I really didn't think an Integra would be rolling on RS's and thought they would look awkward..
but I was totally wrong.



Here is Alan's 96 Acura Integra RS with JDM B18C GSR swap
If I have to score the stance of this car out of 10, I would give it a 9.
The only reason why it's in the 9 point range is because of the tires.
I know Alan can go lower with lower profile tires.
The car is still looking awesome though and I'm looking forward to see his next mod.

I was cracking up like crazy when I read the Intake brand. First thought it was a total joke, but when I searched online, JDM fans really called this the Whale Penis Intake. LOL!

Hellaflush xB

I was looking for some guys, here in SoCal, who could refinish my new set of rims and came across this xB owner, Anthony.
There are couple of xB's out there that are in my "most like" list and Anthony's ride is one of them.
This xB has custom interior Burberry fabric, Burberry headliner, Burberry~Burberry~Burberry.
That's not it!
The wheels on the xB are custom BBS RS's, meaning the centers were powercoated in sparkling gold flakes, custom lips giving it a wide lip, ice cube stems, and much more to it. I don't remember the exact specs, but if I can recall all the infos correctly, I think the fronts were 17x11 and the rears being 17x12.
This was an on-site coverage so not a lot of info was written down.

White Golf on White BBS

Browsing through the VWVortex forums, I came across a clean, sick looking White 03' Golf. The owner is Chris, also known as G-magoo. I usually check the classified section because most of the Golf owners sell some sick a$$ rims and saw Chris selling his customized BBS's. Unfortunately, Chris is selling his car so no more upgrades I guess :(
BUT! I want to show Chris's ride to the stance fans out there. It's not a suprise to see this car being featured on Canibeat or other sites because it is definitely worth a coverage.
Hope this car goes to a great owner.

To help Chris sell his car, and not sure if he already did, but here is the list of mods that I directly copied from the forums:

Motor : ‘04 GLI 1.8t swap (94K on motor and chassis, swap was done 4k ago!!) w/ new water pump/timing belt, plugs and coil packs, serp. belt, every gasket but the head gasket. The motor has a GIAC X+ chip, 3in stainless steel TBE, neuspeed CAI and forge DV. Pulls very strong.

Trans : 2.0 5-spd, which has a shorter final drive than normal GTI transmissions, has a new lightened G60 flywheel and VR6 clutch ( all of these items makes this much quicker than your average chipped GTI)

Wheels : BBS RS, the fronts are 17x9 et27 w/ 205/45 falken 512’s (pictured with 10mm spacers making the final et17), the rears are 17x10.5 et24 w/ 225/45 falken 512’s. The lips are 1.5 up front and 2.5’s in the rear, gold bolts, red and gold centercaps with polished half caps (hexcaps).

Exterior : Helix OEM projector replica headlights w/ 6K HID’s, Rear euro bumper, and polished stubbie antenna, nothing too special. The exterior is not perfect mind you, the paint on the passenger side rear fender is a little brunt/chipped from the rear tire rubbing, it has dings and dents; this is my daily so don’t expect a show car. Not sure if I wasn’t to sell the roof rack with the car, you’ll have to make it worth it for me
