What a great year! Wow! I'm sitting down in front of my study table, typing this article while thinking about all the events and meets I've been to in 2011. Yea~ I know it sucks that the End of the World is coming soon, and because it is, it's time for me to choose the meets and car shows I've been to that were memorable and enjoyable. I've plugged in my external hard drive to see what's been done throughout this year and holy hell, the hard drive decided to shut down on me and all the saved files disappeared. Luckily, my brain had a back-up storage system that only saved automotive related events and not school or friends, which might make me sound like an ass, but for my blog and you guys, it's something to definitely appreciate. I took some time to think about how many I've been to and the amount really did exceed my expectations. If I counted correctly and only included the ones that were automotive related, I've been to 150+ car shows + meets. My aspirations were not to attend the most meets and become competitive with other bloggers, but it was that unexplainable force that pulled me into a world that I couldn't escape. No matter how much I tried, avoiding the temptations to drive my slammed Scion tC to anywhere in Southern California was not happening. That's how much I loved and still love what I do as a hobby and will continue on for myself and for all you fans out there that truly appreciate Night Import.

Finally, this will be our last coverage on Wekfest! Some of you guys might be complaining on why I had to separate the coverage's into 3 parts, but please understand that we have tons of photos to share and dumping all of them in one coverage is just not my style. My computer can't even handle a post with more than 50+ photos. It will take forever to load and I did hear from few of my friends having the same problem. This final part of Wekfest will have A LOT of photos so if you have a slow computer, I recommend you steal or borrow a fast one.
Now, I'll continue on from where I left off from Part 3. Part 4 will cover the asphalt area of the event and like Part 3, I'll be including Jay's photo coverage and will add Nick's photos as well.

Continuing on from where we left off, Part 3 will include photos by our photographer Jay Ebue with my own, so this will be a pretty good one (^_^)v
Having to shoot more than 500 cars and random moments at Wekfest, rather than being bored and talking throughout the whole event, I actually had a good time because of the proportion of new cars I've never seen before. You'll be seeing some new ones in this coverage and I'm sure your time will be well spent looking through our photos.

Wekfest Los Angeles was probably one of the best gatherings of cars I’ve seen in a while. Most shows I go to, I see many of the same cars and maybe a handful of new ones. Although many of the cars are quite stunning, a little variety can go a long way. That being said, I saw the great cars that have been showing all season in addition to many new cars I haven’t seen before the event this past Sunday.
Although the show didn’t start until 12 noon and that being up on various sites, I somehow mistakenly thought that the show started at 8am. While I didn’t get up until 7:30am and arrive until 9am, I was actually pretty lucky because even when I arrived at the event at 9:30/10am, there was already a sizeable line beginning.

Woke up around 4am today staring at the wall thinking about various things. Then I catch myself laying my fingers on top of the laptop keyboard. For a hour or so, I had no idea what the hell I was doing and thinking. I'm speculating it's because of the massive amount of sexy cars I saw at Wekfest last Sunday and I had to stop with Part 1 yesterday. Let's continue on with the event!

Hope you guys enjoyed the first part of the WEKFEST coverage by photographer Deejay Murdok. I'm enjoying every single photo and making me feel jealous towards those who made it to this years event. No matter what goes on next year, I'm going to this event, no questions.

Event Coverage: WEKFEST 2011 (Pt. I)

Most of you guys already know Night-Import couldn't make it to the biggest car show of the year, WEKFEST. Trust me, some of our California photographers and I really wanted to make it, but things just didn't work out and we were depressed as hell. We always want to bring you guys the best coverages for major events and missing WEKFEST is a huge disappointment for us.

Well what is WEKFEST and what's the big deal about not covering it? WEKFEST is an event hosted by Weksos Industries located in San Francisco. These guys started the event since 2009 and have been bringing out the sickest, freshest, sexiest, and finest cars in Southern and Northern California. You have to be chosen to show your car so it makes the event even more legit. How crazy does this event get? Let's just say Weksos 2010 was shut down by the Fire Marshall's because of the amount of people. That pretty much explains how important and huge this event is for the year. But putting aside the story for a moment, let me tell you guys how I was able to get some coverage for our site.

Last month, our photographer Chris Sempek introduced me to a a very well-known photographer, Deejay Murdok. I contacted him today to see if we were able to share his own coverage of WEKFEST with you guys today and he gladly accepted our request. I guarantee you guys won't be disappointed and will be wanting to see more of his work.
I already looked through the Deejay's WEKFEST coverage on nwp4life and felt as if I was at the show.
