Welcome back everyone. I know it's weird that I'm consecutively covering Anime related events, but this one will cover much more cars than Anime Expo, so some of you guys might like this coverage. I'm a huge fan of Anime and Cars and this event, Anime Impulse, had both. Anime Impulse was held in the Anaheim Convention Center back in September and I was lucky enough to cover this event with my friend Andy. The event was obviously smaller than Anime Expo, but we had a great time visiting every part of the event. What was pretty unique about this one was that two other conventions were happening on the same day at the same place, which was for Kpop and Sneakers. There were tons of people present, vibe was awesome, and we enjoyed taking photos, so let's start with the coverage.

One of the most biggest events after Tokyo Auto Salon is an event held by a very well-known tuning company called HKS. I'm pretty sure for those who have been in the scene for quite a long time know this company by its reputation of high-end performance. As always, their event was held at Fuji Speedway and a good amount of spectators and participants crowded the location.

This event is not like any other events that are held in the states. I would say the only event that reminds me of both displaying your car and actually driving it on the track was Sideway Sundays. Most of the events are only known for displaying and that pretty much sums up everything when it comes to a car event. However, HKS takes its event to another level. Not only do other prestigious aftermarket companies participate at this event, but they also get an opportunity to track their car on the track, competing with each other for the fastest lap. You can pretty much tell that it's not only about the looks of your car that matters in Japan, but everything is well modified internally and externally. To experience that feeling, HKS Premium Day is a must-to-attend event in Japan.

The highly anticipated final versions of FT-86 are being revealed in about two weeks at Tokyo Motor Show. With the help of ft86club, we've been receiving numerous updated information regarding both models; Scion and Subaru. As of today, the Manual for FT-86 Toyota version was leaked to the public; however, the Subaru version was not fully revealed but rumors say the actual car will look almost identical to the concept car, which was shown at LA Auto Show 2 days ago. Many of you guys living out of States wanted to see the car through my blog, so here it is!

Burning STI

If a car looks clean and has the right mods with the right stance, it deserves a coverage on my blog. Here is Vinh Luong, aka mr.vinh123, from the Bay Area, CA, with his daily driven Red Subaru STI. He did a huge upgrade with his wheels, which makes his car look sooooooooo much better. There are a bunch of Subaru guys into the hellaflush movement and I think this one stands out the most.

Talking to Vinh, he's currently a college student and working at the same time. His goal is to make his STI look clean and aggressive-looking. He also mentioned that he didn't do much to his car, but I think he's right on track and on point. In the hellaflush scene, what matters the most is how you make your car look. Vinh definitely pulled it off. Awesome job!
