Night-Import: Photography and Words by William Lee
Events like JCCS are one of the reasons why I love doing what I do as a hobby. Although I personally think photography is crucial when it comes to coverage, it's more about appreciating the cars, especially the ones that are at JCCS because of its age and rarity. Most of the cars I saw at this event were immaculate! As mentioned in Part 1, I was surprised to see 25~30 year old cars looking as if they came out of a factory. I have to give props to all classic car owners and their effort in keeping their rides clean. Thumbs up!
There were cars I've never seen or heard before, like this Datsun.
Spotted this low fitted Datsun from far away.
Brothers.
People taking a good look at the engine bay.
Classic Toyota Corona on Watanabes.
You won't see one of these in the States.
Gawd DAM!!! Heavy Hitters knows wsup!
I give props to the owner of this Datsun on Work Equips because it was one of the two hella slammed ones out of all the Datsuns at the show. Look at that rear camber and fitment!
So many Zs!!!
This one from JER was looking clean on Epsilons.
I remember this Celica GT from TORC.
There were only a few 2nd gen Celicas.
Toyota Celica Supra Mk I.
Pretty slammed.
Seems like I'll start looking around for a Datsun..
SO CLEAN!
Ouuu~~~ Matte Black.
"Unrestored", Props!
Z on rare old-school Impuls.
The guy at the left taking a good look....at himself through the hood reflection.
This one was sexy on SSRs.
I'm digging this paint...stock color?
Rx-3s.
I don't even know what to call this paint finish, but it was clean as hell.
Hope I get to visit JER one day..
Spotted Toda.
Whoa. Gauges?
This is my 2nd time seeing this drag built car. Monster!
I remember being exhausted after taking this shot...
BUT! seeing this Datsun cleared my mine and I regained my strength.
I was speechless....it was featured on several sites, but seeing it in person was a different experience.
The guys at the left were having a lot of fun. I wanted to join...
"Is there a cat under the car?"
Whoa! Widebody Starlet.
Old school Datsuns.
Team Wankelholics?
Digging the paint on this 1975 280Z.
It's not my camera making these cars look like brand new. You have to see them in person!
O? 2012 Black Edition GT-R. Can I have?
This couple seemed as if they were in a honey moon trip.
O gawd! Car itself is classic but the parts on it are not old school for sure.
Hmm...what wheels?
Dammit...I should have looked at the work under the car...
Another up-to-date classic.
Simply JDM!
I think that's good for today, so stay tuned for the final coverage of JCCS. Bye!
