Carl Zamuco is one of those guys who loves driving low and at the same time, keeping the ride clean as possible. Being a member of the well known VIP crew, BP VIP, I first saw Carl's Lexus IS at the OC Food Truck Meet parked with couple of his friends/crew members. There were tons of cars at the meet, but Carl's ride stood out from all the Lexus's that was present.
You probably noticed Carl's into the fitment game, but as we all know, California roads are horrible and keeping the car from scrape marks is almost impossible if the car is slammed, which is why Carl decided to go with air. From many air suspension kits in the market, UAS (Universal Air Suspension) was his choice, keeping his ride height controllable at any time.
Surprisingly, the fenders aren't even rolled and the ride is able to sit flush! How is this even possible? Stretching the tires. On a width of 9.5 & 10.5, 225/35/19's and 235/35/19's are stretched respectively. The rear quarter panels will be shaved to make the ride site even lower.
Lexus IS's in general are not considered as a VIP car, but many try to modify it in a way to represent the VIP scene and when it comes to VIP style, wheels are definitely an important choice. From many wheels in the wheel market, Carl chose SSR Professors, not typically on VIP cars but Carl's IS pulled it off.
The JP Vizage front lip with Carbon Fiber overlay on the bottom front gives the car an even more VIP look with a mix of street style. |

As mentioned earlier, Carl's a member of BP VIP, one of the biggest VIP crews in SoCal. You'll be seeing some of their rides on our site in the future. |
It's not an easy task to modify a Lexus. As some say, "nothing is cheap or easy." But the current state of Carl's IS is looking great and he's planning to make it look even better. Thanks again to Carl and Matthew for showing up for the photoshoot.
