Bimmerfest started out as a small local meet at a dealership, but as time was going by and words being spread to fellow BMW owners, the meet became an event and the turnout was too big to handle. That's when the location was changed to a larger venue and Rose Bowl located in Pasadena, CA became 'the place' for Bimmerfest. I've heard from my friends about how crazy this event gets every year and sure enough, it was pretty insane. After an early morning heading out to Toyotafest 2011 and doing a coverage for about 3 hours, special staff Hooni and I headed directly to Bimmerfest. Upon arrival, the parking lots were already filled and tons of BMW's were parked in the showcase area.
If you didn't know by now, Bimmerfest is the biggest BMW based event in Southern California. Wait, let me take that back; the biggest BMW event in Northern America. More than 50 vendors come to participate and promote their products, magazine and blogs come to do coverage, and even major television broadcast stations do live coverage as well. According to automotive websites, this years Bimmerfest had more than 3,500 BMW vehicles, the most attendees in Bimmerfest history.
There were a variety of BMW's, but I would say it was a 60/40 proportion, stock/lowered to mildly modified. Let's start it off from the main entrance.
I was pretty stoked to be greeted by these fitted BMW's near the entrance.
Blacked out on BBS LM's was looking sexy. Look at that burnt tip daul exhaust.
Hmm...what's for sale?
Well fitted.
Pretty sure this guy just arrived but was putting on some painters tape. The BBS wheels were looking great!
One of the sickest 7 series I've seen so far. Didn't dig the taillights, but the overall stance was impressive.
Unique!!!
Don't know why the hood was tortured, but I guess it's a certain theme the owner was trying to execute.
Now that's a sexy Wagon.
It was pretty funny to see this guy coming into the showcase area with a half covered VW emblem.
Check out the owner chilling in his car.
E46 Convertible + Volk ce28n wheels..I like!
So far, that was only 20% of the entire show case section. Because the majority of cars were stock or just lowered on OEM wheels, I decided to head to the Vendors section and saw this COBB tuned 1 series.
AVANT GARDE looked luxurious.
Not bad at all.
One of my favorite BBS wheels, BBS LM-Rs.
LTBMW's purple M3 on super concave BBS wheels.
Clean and fitted!
This car was parked in front of BBS's booth and from what I've heard, one of their staffs came up to the owner of this car asking why he had to park in front of their booth when he was rocking fake BBS's. Are you serious? I do understand if that was the case, but working for a reputable wheel company that's been in the automotive scene for decades and not knowing the models of the companies' wheels is such a fail. If you guys didn't know, these are one of the rarest sets in the BBS line; BBS Impul.
BBS booth.... Why am I disappointed? :/
John Zhang's CCW equipped 135i.
Impressive. Volk TE37SLs painted in White with a Sky Blue Volk sticker matching the BBK's and side mirrors. Thumbs up!
What a collection.
Lime Green + Matte Grey.
Love ADV.1 wheels.
This E92 created some hype a few months ago. The photography was absolutely amazing, but the car itself was stunning as well. A mix of Euro and JDM.
Never seen these wheels by our supporters VIP Modular Wheels.
The top one (VX110)...drool....
HPF Widebody M3.
Winning.
EuroProjektz
Iforged with their displayed cars.
Even better.
Look at that a$$.
I would daily drive this beauty.
Rolling on VWR wheels.
Hot!
VWR wheels had some well fitted BMW's on display.
Someone say concave?
Forget Hummers.
I have no clue....but it sure does look sexy.
Savini Wheels = Luxuriousness.
...... sorry, had to wipe off the drooling.
One of the famous E92's in the BMW scene. Remember the neochrome Work Meisters? Well the owner decided to change to Pink Gram Lights.
Trunk setup of the E92.
Now back to the showcase area.
Another BMW with Volk ce28n wheels.
Polished Work Equips.
Swag~
The famous 'Tony the Fender Roller's ride (that's what I call him). Hit him up to roll your fenders!
Game Over.
Blacked out!
Flush.
Considering those lip finish.
The sexiest concaved wheels goes to...
EuroProjektz keeping it up with their hellaflush rides.
Not too common to see a fitted Z series.
The owner was happy because I took a picture of his ride.
I'm not the ricer! Don't give me a ticket because I don't drive a BMW!
Lol. This was cute.
..Ok...now seriously..what's going on here....
....Sh#t...
Marc Marquez's (DeeJay Trademarq) ride.
Classic~!
That's a sexy design.
Even sexier.
Whew...I have no clue how I managed to walk around this whole area twice!
I haven't posted up some other photos because I had to cover OpenClutch as well, so make sure to check out their site soon!
Lastly, drive slow and be safe!
