Skunk2 had a great meet last year, Skunk2 Unmeet 1.0, and when I mean by great meet, I'm talking about the turnout, quality of cars, and behavior. I had my hopes up for this years meet, driving for about 2 hours in traffic, but after arrival, it wasn't as 'good' as I expected.
The turnout was somewhat the same like last year, but the behavior and quality was way disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I respect every modifying style, but the ones that were present at Skunk2's Unmeet 2.0 wasn't my taste at all. Behavior wise, some people didn't even care about cars passing through the streets, though there wasn't any revving, driving 100mph, etc.
I took some time to walk around and take some shots.
Even though I see this car like it's my neighbors, it's always good to see a quality built Prelude. As always, looking good Big Mike!

Joey's Q from The Chronicles is always worth drooling over. Never had the guts to say wsup to him, but probably next time, I'll introduce myself.
Funny thing is, after Joey got out of his car lowering it, 2 guys went up to him asking "Is this a Lexus?"
I've seen this ride quite a few times and it's full of win.
Civics weren't looking too shabby.

But I decided to leave the meet after seeing these beauties.
I didn't stay too long and left to shoot a s2k, which will be featured very soon on our site.
Someone asked me why I had high hopes when going to meets. I took this question very seriously and thought about it for quite some time. Yes, I dislike it when there isn't a decent turnout. Yes, it's a facepalm when there aren't any quality built cars or clean ones. But the only reason why I keep my hopes up, is because that's what leads me to be active in the scene and by going, bringing you guys coverage.
Today's meet by Skunk2 was well organized and props to Big Mike and his friends for keeping things entertaining. It was just the quality of cars and behavior that was a disappointment, but it's something that we all need to go through.
Like last year, thanks to Skunk2 for the food and meet.
