I have to give props to Johnny Ho for creating a meet that was just insane. Not insane in a 'o crap..we have Fast and the Furious wannabe's", but a 'jaw dropping' insane.
Going to tons of meets during 2010, I have never been to one with such a turnout.
For those who didn't know, this was actually the second OC Food Truck meet, the first having a pretty good turnout as well at the Super Autobacs parking lot near Knott's.
But the meet yesterday was five times bigger and better.
The best known food trucks in SoCal were parked near the sidewalk; Tropical Shaved Ice, Komodo Food Truck, BaconMania, Calbi, Piaggio Gourmet on Wheels, Chomp Chomp Truck, Dos Chinos, and DogZilla, filling up hundreds of people.
First of all, I have to thank Alvin Thai and his friend, our fans, for finding and taking me to this location. I seriously had a hard time climbing up the wall and ladder to reach this place. It was a moment when I realized I needed to start working out again because these guys went up to this location like piece of cake. Thanks again guys!

Food Trucks were banking on this day. Some people waited about half an hour just to get a hot dog and the lines were getting longer and longer. |
I arrived at around 9:00pm and took about 30 minutes to find a parking spot. As you can see in the first photo, the lot was huge and there were NO parking spaces at all except at the far end corner.
There were cops in the beginning and I heard the Food Trucks got fined because of an 'unnoticed' event or something, but according to Johnny, all the Trucks were safe without paying any fines. Cops seemed pretty chill as well.

It wasn't only cars at this meet. There were TONS of Bikers and Ruckus owners. A special burnout ceremony.
|
|
Smoke Smoke Smoke!! |
People were talking, laughing, running, joking, etc. Loved how all the automotive enthusiasts gathered at one place having fun.
Now to some cars! I had a difficult time going around taking photos of hundreds of cars. The day was dark and took me around 10~15 seconds to take one photo. If your car didn't make it into this coverage, just wait until the next meet because I'll be going around faster. (It took me like an hour going up to that building to take a shot of the whole scene. I seriously need to work out...)

John's LS parked at an illegal spot. We did get a complaint in the beginning, but things worked out. Thanks to the Accord guy who moved his car a bit for a better space. |
|
You guys remember the Red RHD Civic featured on our site couple of days ago? Well I found out he had three more cars, this Integra being one of them. Full Mugen! |

One heck of a clean Yellow S2K. |

Not too many classics, but these beauties were enough. |

First time seeing this Lexus IS. Everything about it was gorgeous. I met Minh during this shoot and we are planning to shoot his IS again so stay tuned! Hope we could shoot this IS as well :) |

Had to take a pic of this Element before I rolled out. While driving back home, I saw this car passing by my cruising buddies and it was SLAMMED!!! its sway bar was literally touching the ground. |
Great meet, Great people, Great cars. What more else to say? Looking forward to the next meet.
Once again, EPIC EPIC EPIC!!
