VIP (9 of 46)

Being in the scene for more than 2 years now, I have encountered numerous "types" of cars; from track to fitted, almost everything in the scene today. Of course I appreciate every type ...except ones that have fake intercoolers and fake blow-off valves that make your car look like piece of shit :) One style I really loved from the beginning was VIP style cars. Many might think VIP cars are all about slamming them to the ground with extreme fitment, but let me tell you, there is much more to it.

The debate about VIP style has been going on forever. Personally, I don't think there is an exact definition of VIP style. If there was a standard for what a VIP style car should be, then I'm pretty dam sure almost every car out there that fixes up their car in a VIP style way would be all the same. I personally think the "details" make up a VIP style car.

Well today, this coverage post is not to discuss about what is VIP style or not, but to show you guys how strong the VIP community is in Japan by posting up a coverage of one of the biggest VIP car shows called Sessions Platinum VIP, a show that is hosted by a VIP shop called Sessions. Like always, the show was held at Fuji Speedway. You will encounter numerous cars here and will realize the people in this show have a passion for VIP style cars. I have looked through the pictures Charles sent me last week and was shocked to see some of these cars going over the limit of fitment and the details that were put into it.

Japan-0035 How's it going everyone! It seems like the hot days are coming soon, because here in California, it's been hot as hell, so you know what that means~ car shows! I'll be making a separate post this week on upcoming car shows so stay tuned. Yeap yeap, you'll be seeing NI staffs and I at those shows, so don't forget to holla.

By the way, the blog itself has been quiet, so my apology once again. But every time I come back to post something on the blog, you know it's going to be good. Today, you will be going on a tour to very famous places in Japan. Our contributor Charles visited several places during this past 2 months, first being Fuji Speedway, ASM Yokohama, and Kawasaki, Japan. First off, let's check out Fuji Speedway.

JZ-32 There were a lot of photos Charles sent through e-mail throughout this week and I finally had time to organize and edit them for 2 separate coverages. Obviously, one was the one I posted up last week, which was the 1JZ meet at Fuji Speedway, and the other being the R's meet (will be posted up this week). Today, I'll be continuing from where we left off with our Part 1 coverage of the 1JZ meet, so you'll be seeing more show cars and drifting. Charles did a great job trying to cover the entire event. If you guys have some time, drop by his fanpage and give him a shout out!

HF,Mobara Race Circuit-33
Zee-Zayas sent me some new and better photos from Japan's Hellaflush event that happened few weeks ago at Fuji Speedway. Seeing a few coverage's going around the net on this event, it makes me want to use all the money I have just to go to Japan and have fun! At first, I thought it was about the cars, which actually is the main reason why I want to go, but their style, culture, food, etc. seems to fit perfectly with my lifestyle. Who knows? I might head down there next year and go to random places with Zee and a few friends to do live coverage for you guys (^-^)v.
This coverage isn't so new from our last one, but there are some new cars and other things to share, so gogogo!

Event Coverage | Hellaflush Japan at Fuji Speedway (Pt. I)

Hellaflush Japan-29
The highly anticipated event we were waiting for coverage on is finally being shared with the help of our photographer Zee-Zayas in Japan. Hellaflush is a very well-known event here in the United States and for the first time ever, Fatlace decided to go worldwide, organizing and hosting one in Japan @ Fuji Speedway.
Without any doubt, I can say this particular style all started from Japan and inspired many around the world. I'm one of those guys who started with the Hellaflush scene and appreciated every single part of it. Personally, it wasn't just a style, but art. Many of you hellaflush haters just hate the fact that this style was not meant for a car to be functional, but that is totally absurd and false because it's only a part of it that applies to such a statement. I can write about this for days and I'll still be unsatisfied because of all this hate that's going around, but because this post is a coverage and Zee-Zayas and I want to show you guys how the Japanese do it, let's get on with the photos. Zee transferred these photos from his Ipad, so the quality might not be so good, but I want to thank him for traveling and covering this event for my blog.
