Night Import: Photography by Charles Zee Zayas | Words by William Lee
If you've been following my blog for a long time, then you know when I do an event coverage, there will be more than 1 part to it. But that's just me, not how my blog's contributors do there event coverages. Charles was actually digging through his SD card to see if he had more photos from Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 and luckily, he found some that weren't posted in our part 1 coverage of TAS 2013. If part 1 was favored by many of you guys, then I guarantee you will enjoy part 2. To start it off, here are two powerful beauties from the kick off of D1GP.
Before I take you guys to the opening of D1GP, let's start with the parking lot. Charles enjoys checking out the cars there as if he was inside a convention center checking out a show. Unlike events here in the US, you won't be able to spot sick rides like the ones in Japan. Seems like this Mark X is slammed on BBS RSs.
Built to drift? Haven't seen that long rear-view mirror for quite a long time now.
Clean clean.
Gnarly.
Ouf...I would feature this S15 if I spotted it at a parking lot.
Clean and simply done M3.
Itasha Toyota 86.
Some over fenders and zipties.
Back into the hall, Charles spots a STi on Volk RE30s.
Love the look on this VLENE's Toyota Crown.
Can't go wrong with a nicely fixed up classic Wagon.
Perfect for a local drive.
The area of Office-K. I believe the car you see in front was the McClaren 12C.
Junction Produce! How can you go wrong with this company.
The car itself is awesome, but look closely at the body finish. (o_o)
Fab Design SLS.
The new GS350 on air and Vossen wheels.
What?...how?...eh? Girls would dig this car though. Why am I thinking of Paris Hilton.
Ah! The BRZ STi.
Wagon R baby! How cam I don't spot so many Suzukis in the US.
Huge fan of Liberty Walk. Taking exotics to another level.
Not bad not bad.
That GORGEOUS fitment on this Audi A1 by Hamana.
The car itself is gorgeous, but look at those seats!
Toyota 86 by DIRect.
Another 86, but done by Liberal.
Will be breaking necks 24/7.
We all know this extremely fitted car..right?
Back outside where D1GP was held, here is the Bee-R 86.
By GoodYear tires.
By Toyo Tires.
At the side was this S15, getting ready to take off.
some cars getting ready to rip it up!
Driver of the D-Max S13 smiling for NI.
AE96 by Toyo Tires, driven by Yoshifumi Tadokoro.
Drift them.
Team Orange! YAY!!!
Picture time!
A peek shot of Upgarage's 86 driven by Tetsuya Hibino.
Getting ready.
O look! Daigo Saito and his 2JZ powered SC430!
Vroom~~~ get in line everyone.
Heading out to the starting line.
Lego.
Tire smell.
Taking a break.
To the finish line.
That's it for our complete coverage of Tokyo Auto Salon 2013. Hope you guys enjoyed our coverage! Have a good week and be safe!
