Here I am again! It's been a long time right? Well I brought you guys something good today, yes, something REALLY good. As many of you guys know, beginning of every year in Japan, a major car event goes on called Tokyo Auto Salon. If you are new to the car scene, imagine tons of modified cars and models at one place to please your eyes. I actually have not been to this event and need to apologize to you guys because of breaking my promise of attending this event this year (2013). Because of personal things I had to take care of, I couldn't make it (ㅠㅠ). However, my good friend in Japan, Charles Zee Zayas, was able to attend this event and took some awesome photos to share with you guys.
Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 started on January 11 to January 13 at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall. Tons of aftermarket companies participated in this year's event and surprised many car lovers by introducing new products for various cars.
According to Charles, he was not able to take a lot of photos inside the convention hall because of being more interested in the outside area, as well as the opening of D1 Grand Prix. Don't be too disappointed because Charles spotted some awesome rides here and there. Let's just get on with the coverage.
Gotta give mad props to Charles for representing my blog. How awesome is that?
Parking area of Tokyo Auto Salon. This lot itself is like a car show.
Same as the US, the hype of Toyota 86s and Subaru BRZs was going on in Japan. Once these cars came out, all the aftermarket companies were going crazy, trying to be unique with there own aftermarket part designs, etc. What you see here are lines of Toyota 86s.
Mhm. A clean looking Skyline R33.
VIP for the WIN!
If you check my fanpage daily, then you obviously saw this ABflug Supra. Now there were a lot of mixed opinions about this kit/look. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the ABflug kit for the Supra, but one thing for sure, there designs are really unique and eye catching.
Gotta love this S15. Clean as f*ck.
I'm not sure what they call these kind of trucks, but I spotted a lot of these in Korea. This one was obviously modified.
Not a huge fan of those tail lights...
Talk about fitment and camber.
Loving it! Japan take these vans to another level.
Ok....now I was pretty mindf*cked when I saw this R34. I have no idea what was done to the front-end, so someone chime in and tell me what was done to this car.
Gorgeous.
Built to drift. You can see the mark in the front.
Nicely done! Reminds me of Matthew's ride.
Which one will you take?
Bring this to the State and I'm sure it will break every single neck.
Gnarly!
Japan and their fitments...gosh.
Now we go inside!
Not so DUB to me.
Rear shot of this Toyota 86.
Yesh! VELENE's displayed ride.
Awesome front bumper.
Some models at NITTO's booth. Is that our supporting model Eva Skye?
This is actually a Platinum Concept Toyota 86, displayed by Gazoo Racing. Almost everything was changed, making people wonder if this is an actually Toyota 86.
Gazoo Racing track built Toyota 86.
Don't you just love Volk TE37SLs. TRD Toyota 86.
Those headlights <3 and="and" cars.="cars." final="final" konnexion="konnexion" p="p" their="their">
Reminds me of the Ice Cream Truck that was displayed at LA Auto Show.
Rice Rocket. What.

Take my money! O wait..I can't afford one.
WooohoOOOO love the C63 AMG series.

A guard is necessary in front of a R35.
Sparkly~
McLaren 12C Spider on a gorgeous kit by FAB Design called Terso body kit. This beauty was displayed under Office-K.
Gotta love this design.
Wald is in the house!
I'm a huge fan of Wald International because their kits are absolutely stunning.
Roberuta had a line of F40s on display for TAS. They are very well-known in the industry for their suspension lift systems.
One of the companies that grabbed a lot of attention was Liberty Walk and their line of Lamborghinis.
SLS AMG track car. Gorgeous indeed.
I have never heard about this company, but this kit makes the rear-end of the Toyota 86 like a LF-A.
At the Weds booth was Racing Project Bandoh's Toyota 86. I believe this is the fastest 86 in Japan today.
Huge fan of KBREAK.
Rocket Bunny BRZ by BEE-R. One of my favorite kits right now in the market.
Mark X driven by kuniyuki Takahashi.
UPGARAGE's Toyota 86. I believe this was the one driven by Tetsuya Hibino when he crashed during D1GP practice at Odaiba.
If not mistaken, Masato Kawabata's S15.
D1GP about the start!
There's Tetsuya Hibino smiling and Naoto Suenaga from Team Orange.
There you go guys! Big ups again to my boy Charles. I realized, and pretty much knew, that TAS going to be packed with Toyota 86s. I saw some coverages on various blogs and the amount of 86s present at TAS was insane! What was also surprising was that each and every one had its own unique characteristics. I'm excited to see some unique ones here in the US, other than the Rocket Bunny 86s. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that kit, but it will be awesome to see one dressed up in a different kit. Anyways, thanks for visiting NI! Bye~
