Night-Import: Photography by William Lee
Yesterday was one of those days I was looking forward to because of two car meets with a very high attendance rate (according to facebook) and the first meet happened in Pomona, hosted by NastIE Garage, a Honda performance based aftermarket shop. Allen from SocalZine arrived at the location around 10:30am and texted me about the turnout; lots were filled with cars and the area was swamped with spectators. Edgar and I arrived later on and as Allen said, we were pretty surprised with the amount of cars.
There were 4~5 aisles with cars and although the location couldn't accommodate every single participant, somehow, things worked out (just speculating).
But before I get into the coverage, I want to mention how I honestly felt about this meet. First of all, the turnout was great. I give props to NastIE Garage for having a meet with food, DJ's, live performances, etc. However, the behavior of 'some' Honda owners were horrible...wait..let me say terrible. What do I mean by terrible? Almost every minute or so, some drivers were revving and redlining and it was happening constantly. Some of you guys might be saying "well..it's a Honda performance based shop, so it can happen..", but even the NastIE Garage staffs were trying to stop some drivers from acting immaturely. This behavior affected the M&M Donuts Meet because some of the Honda owners that were present at NastIE Garage car meet decided to redline their a$$es to the Donut meet.
Out of all the M&M Donut meets I went to, and I'm talking about the first one till today, yesterdays meet....ok..i'm just going to stop here with my thoughts. Let's just say most of the blog owners that attended this meet all had the same thoughts.
But because of what happened didn't mean there weren't any sick cars.
The newest Enkei wheels looking good on the Civic EF.
Some classics were present as well.
Saw this Accord looking for a parking spot and I fell in love with the wheel color. It even had Volk Racing lug nuts.
My favorite out of all the cars from the meet. Fully polished Work Meisters with a perfect drop overall.
Sick fitment with sick wheels.
There's our photographer Andy Nguyen at the right and SocalZine staffs at the left.
